James Cagney | Clothes on Film
The glossy costume world of gangster squad is faithful to history, but not a slave to it. Michael Caine created Jack Carter, yet his immaculate blue mohair suit was more than a little responsible for creating the myth. Public Enemies demonstrates how costume can actually drive a story narrative. To be a saboteur you must surely dress like one. The full trailer for HBO’s Boardwalk Empire arrives. Period costume fans, set your jaw to dropped.

Arkham Asylum | Clothes on Film
The top half of Ben Affleck’s new Batsuit has been revealed, as created by costume designer Michael Wilkinson for the barely in production Batman vs. Superman. At first this black and white Bats looks kind of pettable, thanks to those smaller, kittenish bat ears. However getting in closer the suit is far more visceral than Lindy Hemming’s version for director Christopher Nolan. It actually resembles a (very buff) human body stripped of its skin. Cinema Paradiso is a beautiful examination of the relationship human beings have with film. This connection is explored through the story of a young boy and his friendship with the projectionist at the town’s local cinema. The strength of this friendship is only surpassed in intensity by the boy’s deep desire to become a part of the world of movie making. This is a story not about the medium of film in itself, but about the real people whose lives are illuminated by the stories it relates. As a tale primarily of ordinary Roma people, the costumes in Cinema Paradiso, as designed by Beatrice Bordone, help create a 1940s/50’s period…

Drake's Fashion: Uncharted the Movie Has Writers | Clothes on Film – Part 6932
More concrete news that an Uncharted movie based on the smash hit PS3 game is about to go into production. Believe it or not we have a possible style franchise here. Nathan ‘Nate’ Drake (voiced by Nolan North) is the dry as kindling hero of Sony’s super successful adventure outings for Playstation 3. Though there have only been two games so far, a third is in the pipeline with four, five and six probably already at the drawing board stage. Latino Review are reporting that Uncharted the movie is likely to be written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly. Oppenheimer and Donnelly were behind what many believe to be…
