The American Charity Sale: Own Clooney's Zegna Suit | Clothes on Film
Would you like to own some of the classy attire worn by George Clooney as unsurprisingly troubled hitman Jack and Thekla Reuten as mysterious Mathilde in The American? Silly question, of course you would. So read on.
Following our brief rundown of the costume design by Suttirat Anne Larlarb in The American HERE, we can now inform you that a charity sale is being held in support of the Red Cross International Response Fund where you can actually buy the clothes worn by Clooney and Reuten and also Violante Placido’s character Clara in the movie. Credit cards at the ready then.
This charity is a particularly pertinent cause as monies raised will go towards supplying aid for worldwide disaster relief, such as 2009 L’Aquila earthquake in Abruzzo which actually provides backdrop for much of the film. There are plenty of costumes to tempt your eye including Clooney’s charcoal wool Zegna suit and Violante Placido’s Red Stefanel bag (though not Thekla Reuten’s Malò wool dress). Be quick too – some of the items are already sold out.
The American (directed by Anton Corbijn) is on general release in the U.S now and comes to the UK on 26th November. See the movie, wear the character. Who knows, some of that Clooney charm might rub off on you…
