    Looking so sexy that the finished film can be nothing but a huge disappointment, this teaser for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy ticks all the right 70’s boxes. For those of you lucky enough to live in LA, literally racks of costumes have just on display at The FIDM Museum. A majestic tale set in a buttoned-up world of repressed emotion. Fashion designer Tom Ford will make another movie, but nobody yet knows what it is yet.

    First Official Gatsby Pics Bring the Money | Clothes on Film – Part 23618

    Warner Bros. have released two official images from director Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming adaptation of The Great Gatsby. Not much to see as yet, but it is difficult not to be drawn in by the promise of costume luxury. Several on-set pics for The Great Gatsby have already appeared on the internet, but we shall ignore those as seeing Catherine Martin’s costumes out of context makes it difficult to judge her intentions.     X-Men: First Class Costumes | Clothes on Film – Part 18773

    Some official images have surfaced for director Mathew Vaughn’s adaptation of Marvel comic X-Men: First Class. Plot details are still sketchy, but we do know that the story is set at some point during 1960s (mid?) and concentrates on the relationship between young Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr / mutant guise Magneto (Michael Fassbender). Their ‘civvie’ costumes by Sammy Sheldon (Kick-Ass, Stardust) are not excessively sixties in tone, however. Only a handful of details give the film away as not set in the present day, most notably on January Jones as Emma Frost and Kevin Bacon’s ‘Hellfire Club’ leader Sebastian Shaw.
